Purebred red merle Mini Australian Shepherd needs new home (Santa Barbara)

This sweet guy came to me really fat and neglected.
I’ve taken the weight off of him and he’s feeling happy and loved and is ready for a new family.
He’s about 50 pounds, and would be best at 40 pounds but at least he’s just chubby now, not obese.

Best guess is that he is around 8-9 years old.
Good with other dogs.
Not good with cats.
Likes all people but not suited to smaller children.
He’s housebroken.
He’s relatively low energy so he would be happy with neighborhood walks and just hanging around.
He does have mild arthritis and he gets a daily powder in his food to keep his intestines happy.
He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
There’s a small rehoming fee to make sure he gets a good home.
