*About the role*
The Beverage Director is the creative mind behind our Mezcal-focused craft bar, Dusk, located at the Drift Hotel Santa Barbara.
This role works collaboratively with our F&B and marketing team to curate exciting and innovative menus and engaging events for Santa Barbara visitors as well as our local community and sets the tone for exceptional guest experiences.
*What you'll do*
* The Beverage Director's primary responsibility is overseeing the day-to-day planning and operations of the Bar, Hotel, and events on the property.
The Beverage Director position will work closely with the General Manager and Regional Director of Food and Beverage on the strategic goals, training, execution, and quality control of all hotel processes and procedures with Drift employees and guests.
The Beverage Director will also be responsible for upholding the Drift Culture and working towards maintaining a high level of employee engagement, ethics, and morale.
The beverage director will collaborate with leadership to maintain the cleanliness of the outlets and outlet kitchen and ensure that the market, events, and f&b offerings are in line with brand standards and profitable for Drift.
This role is also responsible for developing all outlets' beverage programs and training staff.
The beverage director will collaborate with the drift supervisor and sales manager to establish events and beverage/food menus for prospective clients.
Additional responsibilities will include maintaining proper quality assurance programs, appropriate coach and counsel sessions, Operating within departmental budget constraints, and assisting General Manager with Marketing strategies/campaigns and additional assigned projects.
*Qualifications*
The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in beverage menu creation and marketing.
In-depth knowledge of Mezcal is a plus!
* Be able to motivate a team and create an environment of teamwork, respect, and accountability
* Have excellent attention to detail and strong financial acumen
* High standard of personal and professional integrity
* Experience developing and executing training programs
